Apulia (Italy), a land of a thousand faces, never the same!

A mosaic of sand and rock, mountain rich of vegetation and wheat fields, orchards and olive groves as far as the eye could see, rocky hills, calm lakes and underground cavities, marked, shaped and changed by man, who  over the centuries has made it fertile and opulent - without leaving empty spaces - a land which is likely to perennial thirst, erecting dolmens and menhirs, castles and cathedrals, abbeys and shrines, museums and palaces, villas and farms, towers and Trulli.

Today, those who choose Apulia (Italy)  will find all this and much more, because Apulia is a land of art, culture, colors, traditions and tastes for all seasons...

Punta Prosciutto - Torre Colimena - Province of Lecce

La spiaggia di Punta Prosciutto (LE) e Torre Colimena (TA)
Punta Prosciutto is a beach resort located along the Ionian Coast, at the border between the province of Taranto and Lecce.

The main feature of the pearl of the Ionian sea is its untouched aspect, a corner of paradise where nature, sun and the sea are the masters.

The wide and long white beaches surmounted by dunes, long stretches of mediterranean vegetation, the clear crystal waters are a recall for tourists who search for peace and quiet relax.

Near Punta Prosciutto comfortable accommodations can host several families. A warm and relaxing day can be followed by a “quiet” entertaining evening, with popular festivals with music and traditional dances, such the famous “Pizzica”

The beaches of Punta Prosciutto, in terms of sizes and cleanness , feature a long stretch of sand and absolutely no stones, therefore perfect for families and children

Torre Colimena, not very far from Punta Prosciutto, a village in the township of Manduria, in the province of Taranto

The name of Torre Colimena comes from its tower, one among all the others that we encounter along the Salentine coast, but that distinguishes itself in terms of beauty and greatness.

It was built by Carlo V in 1568, to protect the Land of Otranto from the attacks of Pirates and Saracens

……But something makes this Tower different from the others that we see along the Salentine coasts: the rooms that have been built on top of the Tower and that increase the height of 6mt more raising it to 20 meters, make it one of the tallest towers in Salento.

The rest is a wonderful white sandy beach, perfect for children and families, with a crystal clear sea, that makes the resort of Torre Colimena one of the finest of High Salento
